WSP USA (formerly Parsons Brinckerhoff) is a huge engineering firm, which has played a strategic part in the existence and future of fifty major airports throughout the world. Concerned about the future of its landlocked airport, the City of San Antonio hired WSP to develop strategic plans for the airport.

I'm on WSP's team for preparing those plans, employed as an Environmental Planner IV, which makes it sound like I could be in charge of where the runways will go. Rather, Public Involvement is a key part of that strategic plan. Planners have to gather public insights and sentiments and that needs to be quantified and documented. I develop communication strategies and tactics that inform and involve the public.
